Alette - Educator Profile

Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in Applied Social Science at the School of Health in Social Science, University of Edinburgh.

I run a 3rd year, undergraduate course, open to anyone in their honours years at the University of Edinburgh, including students visiting from abroad, called Nature, Greenspace and Health, which introduces students to permaculture. This course was designed as one of my Diploma projects.

I am open to supervising postgraduate students interested in health and well-being aspects of interacting with the rest of nature as MScR or PhD students. This could include elements related to permaculture.

I am also a performance storyteller with the Scottish Storytelling Centre and run bespoke courses on storytelling for social transformation and storytelling for science communication.
