Katie Shepherd - Educator Profile

Biography

Hi there, I'm really excited about my work as a Permaculture Educator. I love using creativity to help make permaculture design as accessible as possible for anyone who wants to learn more. I use permaculture principles, ethics and tools in designing healing and regeneration in subject areas that push the edges of where permaculture design is typically located. I'm passionate about empowering others to also make positive changes in their lives by using permaculture in everyday situations .

My website, ktshepherdpermaculture.com is the 'hub' for my work as a Permaculture Educator: -

Qualifications and skills
Qualifications:

I started learning about permaculture in my early twenties as a way of finding positive solutions to heal Earth and her communities. In 2011 I undertook a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) with the late Patrick Whitefield at Ragmans Farm, England and then in 2013 I completed a second PDC - Earth Activist Training - with Starhawk in Cazadero, California. In September 2015 I completed the Permaculture Association (Britain) Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design. And later the same year, completed a 2 week residential course run by Looby Macnamara and Peter Cow, to improve and consolidate knowledge and skill, relating to facilitating people focused permaculture events. I am a Tutor for the Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design and I write regular articles and reviews for both Permaculture Magazine and the Permaculture Women's Guild Magazine.
