Skills, technical expertise and areas of interest: One of my focus's for the past few years has been in developing permaculture design for children, re-imagining school grounds to facilitate nature connection, encourage wildlife and biodiversity, and to provide a great environment for permaculture education to take place. I now work as a trainer with Children in Permaculture, and run regular courses in sharing permaculture with children, including a PDC for educators. I balance this all out with also running a variety of courses and workshops for adults.
I live on a 7 acre smallholding and am immersed in developing regenerative agriculture practices, such as mob/rotational grazing, windbreak planning, tree management, perennial food forest planning, and no dig gardening. I love to find inventive ways to find solutions to any problems that arise.
I use the design process in all areas of my life, so have a great deal of experience in living through my designs, and especially of using the design web process, by Looby Macnamara.
I love teaching, and sharing permaculture design with those interested to learn with me. I practice action learning techniques and strive for my courses to be creative and highly participatory.
